The creation of a community that can
meaningfully discuss, critique, and revise tasks is as important
as the creation of the tasks themselves. And we now see that a task is
most useful to the work of teaching when it is framed by a context. We
are working to unleash the community’s power to think about classroom
videos connected to the standards, samples of student work showing
common errors and exemplary approaches, and lessons or units built
around the tasks.
